Jiazhu Farm
Jiazhu Farm โ€” Sustainable agriculture under the winged bean tunnel

Our Story

Jiazhu Farm is located in Beinan Township, Taitung County, Taiwan. Our founder, Liao Jia-zhu (3rd Cohort National Top 100 Young Farmer), left a senior engineering role at an electronics company in Taipei to return home, take over the farmland left by his grandparents, and begin his sustainable farming journey.

With a master’s in Horticulture and a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, he applied engineering systems thinking to agriculture โ€” from post-harvest handling to data analytics โ€” developing a unique low-carbon smart agriculture model.

๐ŸŒฟ Core Philosophy

“Treat your crops like your own children โ€” they cannot speak, but any condition will show on the plant.”

This philosophy guides our approach. No pesticides or herbicides โ€” we use cover-crop cultivation to restore soil vitality, and smart technology to improve management efficiency.

๐Ÿ… ๐Ÿซ› ๐Ÿฅญ Three Signature Crops

  • ๐Ÿ… Tomatoes: Naturally ripened, locally harvested โ€” no artificial ripening agents
  • ๐Ÿซ› Winged Bean: Taitung’s first large-scale cultivated winged bean with full traceability certification
  • ๐Ÿฅญ Perfume Mango: Rich aroma, summer seasonal, grown with bagged protection using sustainable methods
